Königsberger Vannucchi Architects: High-performance virtual workstations with NVIDIA and RISC Technology
Risc Technology, an NVIDIA Elite partner in Brazil, deployed virtual workstations with NVIDIA A40 GPUs for the architecture firm Königsberger Vannucchi, offering high performance, security, and a lower total cost of ownership than physical machines.
Challenge: Virtualizing workstations for architecture
The firm needed to give all architects access to high-performance machines, from any device, location, or network, without having to buy a physical workstation for each one.
This type of project is complex, both in hardware and software. It requires preparing the data center, configuring the servers, using NVIDIA virtualization software and a hypervisor, and integrating everything with remote access.
Solution: NVIDIA A40 and vGPUA
Risc Technology designed and deployed a private virtual workstation environment with NVIDIA A40 GPUs, hosted in colocation within a data center. Risc also validated the client's software and delivered a ready-to-use environment, ensuring the office had a complete technology experience, not just the acquisition of the technology.
Results
Quick updates: the new version of the main design software was deployed to all users in 36 minutes, ready on Monday.
Maintenance routine: bi-weekly updates of the operating system, drivers, and software, performed outside of working hours.
Centralized support: all machines are located in the same place.
Security and reliability: high performance with information protection.
Lower total cost of ownership (TCO): lower than that of physical workstations.
Technologies: NVIDIA A40, NVIDIA RTX Virtual Workstation (vGPU), private cloud in colocation.
